Job Title: Operations Manager
Reports to: Vice President of Operations

Job Summary
To supervise all shift Associates and comply with all safety, quality, and production plans, and maintain housekeeping standards. Responsible for the management and coordination of production operations including shift associates, assembly, production plan, inventory storage, equipment maintenance and calibration to improve the facility’s performance in inventory turns, overhead utilization, production efficiency, and throughput.
Essential Functions
Supervise all associates in meeting planning, purchasing, production, picking, shipping & receiving following established procedures, and complying with company policies.
Manage outbound logistics.
Ensure efficient and economical utilization of materials, improvement of methods, and elimination of wasteful practices.
Focus on budget and recommend cost reductions; COGS performance.
Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
Direct equipment repair and maintenance as necessary.
Call the Maintenance Supervisor on evenings and weekends for assistance with problems.
Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labor, and equipment to meet production targets.
Lead operations in achievement of production requirements, including productivity, quality, safety, and customer service. Strong communication with Distributors and sales staff.
Increase productivity and drive on time results.
Train, upgrade, evaluate, and review Associates and Team Leaders.
Organize work for smooth operations.
Ensure that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.
Responsible for all processes, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area.
Maintain accurate reporting of production attainment, manning schedule and all work-related performance and efficiency.
Recommend the hiring and terminating of associates.
Keep records of departmental activities.
Ensure that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production.
Implement efficient planning using MRP, forecast and system tools.
Qualifications
4 year degree in business or technical field
8 years work experience in an Assembly environment.
Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills. Ability to analyze problems and issues, delegating and monitoring assignments and promoting collaboration.
Education in business management, project management, or related topic.
Strong Personal Computer knowledge.
Strong knowledge of planning (MRP) and scheduling.
