Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning, developing and implementing inventory control and material flow processes and systems across the plant
• Provides leadership toward resolving materials management and inventory control issues and leads resolution activities where needed
• Responsible for development, proliferation, and enforcement of transaction controls that yield accurate inventory balances
• Achieve inventory turns and customer flexibility objectives by implementing and managing sound inventory control practices.
• Effective implementation of engineering changes (E.R.s) – phase in/out without shortages or extra stock
• Minimization of excessive and obsolete inventory
• Timely replenishment through the effective implementation and maintenance of our and other ‘Pull’ systems
• Vendor stocked material (i.e. fasteners)
• Create, control and measure schedules for manufactured parts
• Manage planning and execution databases to support the master production schedule
• Manage manufacturing work orders and ISL (Interplant) orders to satisfy production and service demand
• Ensure that due dates are met, orders are transacted, shipped and received in a timely manner. Dates are changed in light of schedule and sales changes.
• Measure and mitigate shortages, responsible for material availability to support due dates
• Scheduling sublet items and related communication with suppliers
• Timely approval and effective execution of sales change Adept in using P.C.s and MAPICS to obtain, interpret and organize data
• Familiarity with MRP II and pull inventory systems
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks

Manage the purchase-to-pay process, including managing invoice holds (may involve interface with the Financial Services Center).
H. Build strong relationships with existing suppliers constantly look out for new suppliers as backup for internal processes; Leverage these relationships during machine downtime or other times to expedite material.
I. Manage inventory to meet profit plan and forecast commitments, including inventory accuracy; Play a lead role in annual physical inventory and ongoing cycle count program.
