Job Description

Responsible for supporting strategic sourcing, vendor management and business partner management through research, analysis and communication.

•Conduct analysis on Industry/marketplace, supplier base, and Operating Companies requirements, in order to support the 7 Steps Strategic Sourcing processo Collect data for analysis projects including spend, industry, market, suppliers, and products/services
o Identify external government regulations and international trade considerations that impact category industries
•Assist in estimating the cost saving benefits for sourcing opportunities•Analyze Operating Company needs•Develop financial and marketplace analysis to support teams in conducting negotiations•Provide analytical support during the vendor screening and vendor selection process:•Develop the Request for Information using an e-sourcing platform ( Ariba)•Analyze Request for Information responses and provide input for the vendor pre-selection•Review historical Requests For Proposal (RFP)•Develop the Request for Proposal template with all the criteria needed to measure vendor characteristics•Develop tables consolidating all the proposals from vendor•Score the supplier responses according to a set of decision criteria•Support Price Risk Management strategieso Assist purchasing managers in tracking and entering Risk Management strategies
o Provide analysis related to futures vs. forecast (cover and price analysis)
· Ensure Contract Compliance and monitor supply of materials to Nestle plants:
o Create/ manage contracts in SAP
o Analyze & communicate volume forecast to suppliers
o Analyze potential shortages/carry-over/supply issues and recommend action to purchasing manager and supplier
o Collect and consolidate Contract Key Performance Indicators results
· Work with TAG ( Technical Application Group), Nestle plants, Suppliers to coordinate ingredient & savings targets and potential supply issues
· Assist in implementing sourcing strategies by executing the communication and implementation plan
· Attend negotiations and assist in contracting process in order to learn the process and the techniques

Reports to Group Manager – Strategic - Commodities
This reporting structure is standard but given that this person will be located potentially in Solon, I propose to have her/him report into a senior Purchasing Manager who is part of our team.

Business decisions will be based on research and analysis. Quality data and thoroughness of the analysis is required to ensure confidence in business decisions

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Math, Agricultural Commodities or Related Field or equivalent experience.
Fluency in Spanish is an advantage.

Candidate must be detail oriented and a self-starter. Ability to work independently to identify and research relevant market, industry, and supplier information. Proven ability to analyze and present findings in a clear and cohesive manner. Team player that is willing and able to provide support to RFI, RFQ, and RFP preparation, execution and analysis. Previous purchasing experience a plus.

Strong financial, analytical, and data management skills, with an understanding of Total Cost of Ownership concepts. Ability to work collaboratively with strategic buyers and support multiple sourcing initiatives.
Must have a basic understanding of financial markets for commodity derivatives, either through coursework or hands-on training.
Ability to work with Microsoft based data tools including Excel, Access.
