President-Elect : Bob Stoll

Bob joined the APICS Cleveland Board in 2012. He has nearly 30 years of experience in

engineering and operations and supply chain management. Bob has been a Plant Manager at

three different facilities, domestically and internationally. He is experienced in ERP systems,

quality, government regulation, international design standards, plant safety, logistics, and supply

chain management. Bob currently is an Assistant Professor at Ashland University. Bob has

a Doctorate of Business Administration in Operations & Supply Chain Management from

Cleveland State University, a Master of Science Mechanical Engineering from Case Western

Reserve University, & a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical

Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. 


Treasurer : Dan DiFilippo

Acting President : Dan DiFilippo

Dan joined the APICS Cleveland Board in 2005 as an Assistant to the Director of Special Events and since then has held positions of President, President-Elect, and Director of Education. He has 12+ years of Operations and Supply Chain Management experience ranging from S&OP Planning and Forecasting to Negotiations and Sourcing to Operations Planning and Lean Workflow to Outbound Distribution and Logistics Operations. Dan currently works as the Global Supply Chain Process Leader for Momentive Performance Materials (formerly GE Advanced Materials) where he leads processes with teams in China, Japan, Germany, and the US. He is an alumni of The Weatherhead School of Management and Case Western Reserve’s School of Engineering.

Dan is serving his second year as the Director of Programs and Special Events.

Director of Communications : Edward Merker

Ed Merker

Ed joined APICS in 2004 and has been on the Board of Directors since 2005, serving as Director of Chapter Marketing till 2009.  Ed is currently serving as the Director of Communications where he is responsible for the Cleveland Chapter Optimizer.  The Optimizer is the chapter news publication which gets distributed to the chapter membership on a monthly basis.  Ed is a supply chain professional with an MBA and is CPIM certified. He has held numerous managerial positions at local companies.  He has worked in Production Planning, Scheduling, Master Scheduling, and Resource Planning, and MRO Purchasing.  Ed currently works for Swagelok Company, which is headquartered in Solon and has plants throughout the Cleveland area. 



Director of Education : Carol Utrup 

Carol is joining the BOD this year, serving as the Director of Education. After graduating from the University of Akron with a BA in History and Political Science, she took a job in Operations, fell in love with the field and never looked back. She has 15+ years of Operations Management experience including distribution, logistics, inventory control, business analytics, demand planning, and forecasting. Carol joined APICS in 2005, was CSCP certified in 2012, and CS&OP certified by the S&OP Institute and the Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2014. She is currently the S&OP Manager for Technical Consumer Products.


Director of Marketing : Roger Davis 

Roger joined the APICS Cleveland Board in 2011 as Director of Marketing. He has a bachelor's degree in Finance and an International Management MBA both from Baldwin-Wallace College. He has ten years of experience in management, inventory, supply chain, and materials management. Roger currently works for National Safety Apparel as Supply Chain Manager.

Systems and Technology Advisor : Yvonne Nader

 Yvonne joined APICS Cleveland Board in 2011 as the System and Technology Advisor. She previously served as Treasurer for the Student APICS Chapter at Cleveland State University, where she earned a BBA in Operations & Supply Chain Management with a concentration in Business Analytics. Yvonne currently works in forecast & demand planning at American Greetings.


Employment Services Coordinator : Kevin Ward

Kevin is serving his second year on the Board of Directors this program year. Currently, he is the Managing Director for the Cleveland and Columbus offices of Accounting Principals, Ajilon and Parker+Lynch. His experience includes 15+ years' in Management, Sales, Recruiting, and Human Resources. Previous experience includes being the Top Division Director in the world for an International Information Technology staffing company; Managing Director for an Accounting and Finance consulting office in Cleveland, which developed into one of the most profitable offices in the country. In addition, Kevin was one of the top recruiters in the country for a publicly traded IT consulting firm. He started his career in HR/OD at a Fortune 500 manufacturing company after earning BSBA (Human Resources Major) from Bowling Green State, where he was a four year letterman in Baseball and captain of the team.


Historian : Bonnie Perney

Bonnie is joining the BOD this year, serving as the Historian. A graduate of Celveland State University, bonnie became a member of the Cleveland APICS Chapter in 2007. She has been employed by the M.F. Cachat company, a chemical distributor in Lakewood, Ohio for eleven years. She is currently a senior materials analyst where she is reponsible for ordering material from two of the company's largest suppliers into several third party warehouses. In this role, Bonnie applies her advanced knowledge, expertise, analytical, and creative thinking skills to drive continuous improvements related to inventory and warehouse management, customer service, and processes. She is also a strong promoter of team building exercises within her department and servies as a mentor to new employees.


Director of Membership : Dennis C. Okocha CPIM, C.P.M., CSCP 

Dennis Okocha

 Dennis has served in various capacities on the Cleveland APICS board of

directors. He has been a Director-At-Large, President Elect, President and

currently the Director of Membership for the 2012/13 program year. Dennis holds

the APICS CPIM and CSCP designations along with the Institute for Supply

Management purchasing manager certification (C.P.M). Dennis obtained his

Masters degree in Political Science (Public Administration) from the University

of Lagos, Nigeria. He has over 20 years experience in operations management

and administration related positions. He has worked in Government, higher

education, banking and manufacturing. Dennis currently works as a Materials

Manager at Aero Fluid Products (a division of Transdigm, Inc.). Before joining

AFP, he worked at Henkel Corporation and State Industrial Products.

Brittany is joining the APICS Cleveland Board this year, serving as administrator.
